DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio—Authorities arrested a second suspect Friday in connection with an August shooting center burglary.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Detectives arrested 35-year-old William J. Palmer of Columbus shortly before 11 a.m. at his place of employment, a Whitehall auto shop.
The arrest came after a Delaware County grand jury indicted Palmer on five felony charges, including grand theft, receiving stolen property, breaking and entering, disrupting public services and theft.
Suspects forced entry into the Black Wing Shooting Center on state Route 36, just west of Delaware, between 12:30 and 3 a.m. Monday, August 17, authorities said.
Suspects removed multiple firearms, including hunting rifles, shotguns, assault weapons and tactical knives, and several rounds of ammunition, according to authorities.
“Palmer has a criminal history. He’s been to prison for crimes, including burglary and receiving stolen property,” Delaware County Sheriff Walter L. Davis III said.
“Months of dedicated detective work led us to develop this suspect and make an arrest,” Davis said.
